Below is a suggested packing list, designed for a 4-5 day stay at The Ecology School. Please adjust accordingly if your program is for fewer days. We recommend labeling items with student’s name or initials. Remember, students will be outside most of the time and the weather can change quickly on the ocean. Come prepared to stay dry and warm, maybe get a little dirty and have fun learning!

Overnight Necessities Footwear (at least two pairs recommended)  sleeping bag or sheets and blanket  sturdy shoes/boots for hiking/walking  pillow  waterproof boots (if you have them) or  1-2 towels shoes that can get wet  1 washcloth/hand towel  toothbrush & toothpaste Suggested Items  soap  sunglasses  shampoo  hat with a brim  hairbrush/comb  a book/games for indoor/rainy/quiet  chapstick times  sun block  a clearly labeled camera  laundry bag or trash bag for wet/dirty  slippers for dorm clothes  letter writing materials (paper, envelopes, stamps) Basics  small backpack for lessons  water bottle  flip flops for showers  underwear  pajamas Seasonal  socks (extras are great to have!)  gloves  warm hat Clothing  thermal underwear/sweatpants  3-4 pairs long pants (required for  mosquito repellent (no aerosol please) lessons)  shorts for free time (long pants required  t-shirts on lessons)  long sleeve shirts  sweatshirts/sweaters/fleece layer Items not allowed at The Ecology School  warm/windproof jacket  cell phones  rain proof layer  electronics (such as handheld games, Having plenty of layers to mix and match is a great way to ipods/MP3 players, portable DVD players) ensure students are comfortable while they are outside  alarm clock learning.  flashlights  scented body sprays/colognes (such as Axe)  food, candy, gum, soda etc.  money/jewelry/expensive items  knives/weapons The Ecology School provides a safe living and learning environment.
