76 children were matched one-on-one with positive 15 individuals, primarily women and their children, adult role models who are their friends and mentors utilized crisis intervention services, safe shelter, or through Big Brothers Big Sisters. support and recovery services for victims of sexual and domestic violence from Crisis Line & Safe House. 62 youth participated in programs that build character, citizenship, and develop personal fitness through Boy 21 individuals called the 24-hour crisis hotline available Scout programs. to victims of domestic violence from Crisis Line & Safe House. 225 girls and young women gained courage, confidence and character through Girl Scout programs. 160 individuals, couples & families received therapy or attended therapeutic workshops and seminars offered 48 Volunteers were recruited and coordinated in through Family Counseling Center. community services opportunities that are challenging, rewarding and educational through Volunteer Houston 33 homebound elderly and disabled people received County. regular nutritious home-delivered meals through Middle Georgia Community Action Agency. 104 individuals were either trained in disaster prevention and preparedness or received direct 161 individuals participated in community education and assistance including; meeting basic needs, counseling outreach programs as well as individualized counseling and referral by the American Red Cross. relating to money and credit management through Consumer Credit Counseling Service. 5 parents participated in the program “Prevention Through Parent Support” offered by Rainbow House. 320 callers obtained social service information and referral assistance from United Way 2-1-1.

18 food pantries obtained 337,708 lbs of food from the Middle Georgia Community Food Bank for distribution to needy families. This was a savings of $677,104.54 in food costs.

2 developmentally disabled adults received work skills training, job opportunities including semi-independent living and personal support through Happy Hour.

9 pregnant women and families with young children received financial and emotional support through life skills and education from Family Advancement Ministries.

25 people received emergency assistance with basic needs such as food, clothing and shelter through the Salvation Army.

57 armed forces members and their families received emergency communications or referrals to financial assistance provided by military aid society, referrals and counseling services through the American Red Cross.
