SEASONAL RENTAL AGREEMENT 30 U-PASS 2016

Thank you for participating in The WaterFront Center’s (WFC) Seasonal Rental Program! Please carefully read the following terms and sign below.

PROGRAM: 30 U-Pass

ACCESS: 30 U-Pass holders are entitled to unlimited use of WFC Sonars and Rhodes based on availability as defined below, during our regular rental season and regular business hours.

AVAILABILITY: The above named boats may be reserved based on availability of the WFC fleet. Boats may not be available during scheduled and/or special events and programs, including but not limited to regattas, corporate events, festivals and sailing programs.

RESERVATIONS: A Rental Pass holder may request to reserve a boat no more than 14-days ahead of desired rental period. Reservations must be cancelled at least 24-hours in advance. Renters that are “no-show” for their reservation may lose the right to advanced reservations. All reservations are at the discretion of WFC.

REQUIREMENTS: To help ensure the safety of all sailors, boats and WFC Staff, all Rental Pass holders, including returning sailors, must demonstrate proficiency in each boat they intend to rent.

Check-Out Sail/Orientation Sail: All renters must satisfactorily complete a WFC Check-Out Sail or am Orientation Sail prior to rental approval for each boat they intend to rent. WFC will make recommendations for instructional lessons and program options for candidates who do not pass a Check- Out Sail. A Check-Out Sail may be required at any time, even after a renter has been approved, which may change a renter’s approval status.

Sailing Resume: WFC may request a Sailing Resume from any renter at any time, detailing any and all sailing experience including: types of boats sailed, location, dates, crew position and any additional information that may qualify a renter to safely and responsibly sail WFC boats.

Agreement: Qualified renters must be at least 18-years of age and no older than 30-years of age and sign this WFC Seasonal Rental Agreement and a WFC Boat Rental Agreement to remain on file until the end of the rental season.

Responsibility: The Rental Pass holder must be present and on-board and holds all responsibility for the boat and passengers for the duration of each rental. The renter must abide by all directions given by WFC Staff and Dockmasters.

Restrictions: The WaterFront Center reserves the right to revoke a Rental Pass from any individual who violates the Rental Agreement and/or does not operate the boat in a safe manner, and may terminate a rental at any time. All rentals are restricted to West Harbor unless the renter has Extended Range approval. Any assistance rendered shall result in minimum charge of $75.00.
