Center #6: Continental vs. Oceanic Crust

Directions: This center is a follow-up to the “Snack Tectonics” lab done in class. You may refer back to your lab sheet for help, if needed.

1. Get your GREEN textbook.

2. Get a computer and login.

3. Using Google Slides in the Drive of your school email account; you will create a short power point slide show that explains what happens at tectonic plate boundaries with continental crust and/or oceanic crust. Refer to p. 482 in the green textbook for help, the Snack Tectonics Lab sheet, and the Internet to gather the information that you need. Assemble your presentation according to the grading rubric below.

4. “Share” the presentation with Mrs. Farkas when it is complete. Do not use flash drives or any other email account for this presentation. The presentation must be shared by the end of the hour or finished for homework and shared before class the next day. Submit this sheet with your group representative at check-in with your group contract.
