Pero todo ello (la celebración del Campeonato de Europa en España, los posibles éxitos de nuestro equipo, etc.} sólo adquiere sentido sí sirve para avanzar en nuestro primer y principal objetivo: la difusión del bridge en España. Por desgracia, el bridge es aquí una actividad aún muy minori­ taria, con una implantación social incomparablemente menor a la que tiene en países vecinos como Francia o Italia. La difusión es, pues, lo más importante para nosotros. El reconocimiento del bridge como deporte y su integración en las estruc­ turas deportivas es una apuesta decisiva de la que depende mucho de nuestro futuro. Pero no es suficiente. El siguiente paso es lograr que, como ya se ha comenzado a hacer en otros países, la enseñanza del brid­ ge se incorpore al sistema educativo.
