Each month, college recruiters visit the Mesa High Career Center to talk with prospective students. This is an excellent opportunity for students to speak with a representative and to ask questions. Don’t miss out on this important process. Listed below are the schools that are visiting this month. Check the calendar on the Career Center door for any colleges that are added after this printing. WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN SCHOLARSHIPS, GRANTS, AND LOANS? Scholarships are awarded on the basis of merit, academic achievement and/or special talents and do not require repayment. Some scholarships are awarded on the basis of financial need.

Grants are awarded on the basis of financial need and do not require repayment. Loans are financial aid awards that require repayment. They offer the opportunity to defer the cost of your educational expenses by borrowing now and repaying later. Some loan programs are based on financial need, but there are loan programs available to all students regardless of income
