Our theme for the 20th Annual Lobsterfest dinner and auction event is “Celebrating 20 years of Service”. We are asking for your generous support for our event. On behalf of the Rotary Club of Spruce Grove, I sincerely hope that you will consider making a contribution to the success of our auction, scheduled for May 25, 2013 at the TransAlta Tri-Leisure Centre in Spruce Grove.
Since our club was formed we have raised many hundreds of thousands of dollars that have been used to support individuals and community groups in Spruce Grove and Parkland County, as well as the international humanitarian initiatives of our club and Rotary International. Following are a few examples: Parkland Food Bank renovations and expansion Orthopedic Medical Missions to Cuenca, Fully accessible playground at École Broxton Park Ecuador School Spruce Grove Public Library – Children’s Children of Ecuador reading room Rotary Playscape Park in Spruce Grove Canadian Blood Services – Spruce Grove Alberta Winter Games 2012 Blood Donor Clinics PolioPlus Parkland Neighbor Link The Rotary Foundation’s Annual Programs Victim Services Augie’s Café (St. Augustine’s) hot lunch ShelterBox disaster relief aid program Children of Ecuador – School development Overseas shipments of humanitarian goods project and medical equipment Neonatal Unit – Bahia de Caraquez, Ecuador Malawi Girls On The Move – girls’ school Rotary Skateboard Park project in Malawi
