Web Master Instructions- Contact Members in a specific area of the state
Here you will find instructions on how to identify and then blast email members in a specific part of the state. This might be used to contact members to let them know we have a consumer request for a therapist is a particular area with a particular type of expertise, or contact members of a specific SIS for the same reason.
1. Log on to www.flota.org 2. Mouse over “Directory” at the top of the page 3. Click on “View entire membership” 4. Mouse over “Directory” 5. Click on “ Advanced Search” 6. Click on “Search Using Filters” 7. Hold down the command button for Mac and Control button for PC and click on the following groups to highlight: Admin, Board, Members 8. Then do the same to highlight the county or counties or SIS that you want to contact 9. Scroll to the bottom and click search 10. At the top of the search results click “contact”. This will take you to the spot where you can send a blast email. 11. Under “Contact Method” click “Email” (we do not send fax, it costs extra, email is free) 12. Under “Reply Name” enter “FOTA” 13. Under “Reply address” enter [email protected] This is the general email for FOTA and the Member Concerns Coordinator or designee culls these out weekly or so. 14. Under “BCC” you can leave that blank or send it to yourself so you know when it is delivered. 15. Under “subject” enter “FOTA” and a short description of what you are writing about. 16. Start your email “Dear” and click on the arrows that seem to go in a circle in the tool bar. You will get a pop up screen. Click on “insert attribute” From the list choose “first name” and click “add” . This will merge the members name into the email. 17. Write your email and add your signature 18. Select when you want to send your message 19. Click “continue” 20. Click “send” 21. You are done!
