Experience the beauty of the New Tecumseth Trans Canada Trail! The Town of New Tecumseth, in partnership with Trans Canada Trail Ontario and the County of Simcoe, has been constructing the Trans Canada Trail (TCT) since 2012. The trail has been constructed in sections and to date, 16 of 26 km have been completed. This trail will link the Trans Canada Trail system that extends across Canada. The New Tecumseth TCT is a non- motorized trail. Plans for parking areas and the remaining trail connections will be completed in future years. POINTS OF INTEREST 1. Section 1A (4.5 km): Wooded area: A great place to see birds, squirrels, Location chipmunks and other wildlife. The Caledon section of the TCT connects south New Tecumseth, Simcoe County of Highway 9. Trail Locator Hwy 9 to Innisfill Border (incomplete) 2. Tottenham Conservation Area (TCA): This section of the trail travels Nearest Towns alongside the TCA. There is a lookout that will give you a pleasant view of the Tottenham, Beeton & Cookstown pond. Just east of the TCA on Mill Street there is a small parking area that TRAIL DETAILS accommodates 6-8 vehicles. Suitability 3. Tottenham: The community of Tottenham offers a place for rest and Walking, biking, skiing, horseback riding refreshments. Parking 4 . Section 2A (1.5 km): Beeton/Trestle Bridge: The community of Beeton Mill Street, Tottenham just east of offers a place for rest and refreshments. A pedestrian bridge will be installed Tottenham Conservation Area in 2017 to allow trail users to cross the Beeton Creek. This section offers a Washrooms view of a traditional railway trestle. Tottenham Conservation Area 5. Section 2C (5 km) Agriculture: Enjoy a view of pasture lands, fields of corn (seasonally) Refreshments and other farm crops. Please follow trail etiquette: keep on the trail, leave Tottenham and Beeton gates and livestock alone, keep dogs on a leash and keep out of the way of farm equipment crossing the trail. Please respect farming families and support agricultural livelihoods. 6. Section 2D (4 km): Enjoy more of the scenic agricultural landscape. 7. Section 1C (0.8 KM): New Tecumseth/Innisfil Border: Continue north to the Innisfil section of the TCT, taking you through the communities of Cookstown and Thornton. .
