Abstracts are now being accepted, so submit an Abstract and encourage your members to submit Abstracts for Oral, Poster, or the Student Poster Competition. Abstract submission closes 16 June 2017. Instructions will be available soon from the Dublin Organizers how to use the back door portal to review and accept Abstracts. Attached and in the SC Virtual Office are the Abstract Confirmation form and the TOR for Abstract Sessions to remind about your responsibilities. Sign in to the Private Space and go to the SC Virtual Office at http://www.icohweb.org/site/member- corner-scientific-committees-virtual-office.asp .

Please review the Abstract Session Confirmation forms that you submitted to me. The room size and length (1.5 or 3 hours) that you requested will be provided for each. Please check that you provided a Responsible Person and remind him/her that 1) the responsibilities are described in the Abstract Session TOR; and 2) that the Dublin Organizers will soon be providing guidance how to utilize the back door portal for review of Abstracts.

Register for ICOH2018 in Dublin. Early registration (least expensive) ends 15 November 2017.

Postings to appear later this year:  Semi-Plenary Speakers: The Dublin Organizers are preparing invitations (some were suggested by you).  Special Sessions: These are Sessions that you totally organize, securing speakers at no cost. You submitted Preliminary Confirmation forms, and all were tentatively accepted. Your Final Commitment form for each Session is due by August 1, 2017. This allows you time to confirm the names and topics of the speakers (with no funds provided). As noted in the attached TOR, the Responsible Person must organize the entire Session, obtain the Abstracts, and submit them via a back door portal into the Dublin website. Instructions how to do this will be provided by the Organizers. Please send me the Final Confirmation Form at any time, but absolutely before August 1.

Midterm Joint Meeting for SC Chairs and ICOH Board Florence Italy, March 13, 2017 Your Midterm Report is posted in the SC Virtual Office http://www.icohweb.org/site/member- corner-scientific-committees-virtual-office.asp in your SC Reports and Events Section. A link will be sent soon to the full Vice President Midterm Report containing my Summary of the first half of the Triennium and all of your individual SC Reports. Please bring my Summary Report to Florence because we will use the content in our discussions.
