GRACE LUTHERAN CHURCH MEMBER TUITION RATE

RATIONALE: Grace Lutheran Church and School is committed to providing the opportunity for our church member families to provide a Christian education for their child(ren). Therefore a reduced tuition rate is available for members of Grace Lutheran Church who are members in good standing.

POLICY: A reduced tuition rate for members of Grace Lutheran Church will be established annually by the School Board/Board of Directors. This rate along with the availability of Tuition Assistance through the Bernthal Scholarship Fund is for member families only. Families in need of additional tuition assistance are encouraged to apply for this assistance. Active membership in Grace Church for purposes associated with Grace School Member tuition rate and tuition assistance is defined as:

1. Families who are regular in Church Attendance – (Psalm 26:8; Acts 2:42; Luke 11:28; Hebrews 10:25.) (50% of Saturday/Sunday worship services during a calendar year.)

2. Families who are regular in Bible Class and Sunday School Attendance.

3. Regular Communion attendance by member parent – 1 Corinthians 11:23-26.

4. Regular and proportionate financial support of the church via weekly offering envelopes – 1 Corinthians 16:2.

Church and Sunday School attendance of all children enrolled in Grace School is taken each week by the classroom teacher. When such attendance, as agreed upon at the outset of the school year by members of Grace Church, is not to the degree covenanted by the parents, that information will be provided to the principal and pastors who will offer assistance and encouragement.

If the covenant of membership is not honored, then the reduced tuition rate is not applicable.

Families who have lost their reduced tuition rate status may revert back to reduced tuition rate status by maintaining the actions of a Member in Good Standing as verified by the Pastors of Grace Lutheran Church and notification is made to the administration of Grace Lutheran School.

GRACE LUTHERAN CHURCH AND SCHOOL 2013 – 2014 MEMBER TUITION RATE APPLICATION

Grace Lutheran Church is committed to assisting its families in the Christian education of their children. To this end, the church offers a tuition rate reduction for all member children enrolled in Pre-School through 8 th grade who desire to have their children attend the Grace Lutheran School. Application for this rate reduction must be made annually at the time of registration.

The rate reduction is available for students in preschool through eighth grade.
