For students eligible for MATH 240

If you are eligible for MATH 240 you should register for schedule 1 or 2 shown below. If you are just now completing Math 100, you are required to enroll in Math 112, Trigonometry, before enrolling in Math 240. It is assumed that all students enrolling in Math 240 have successfully completed a very strong full semester trigonometry course in high school. Students who have not completed such a course, with a grade of A or B, will find it very difficult to be successful in the Math 240 sequence of courses. Even if you are completing Math 101, you should seriously consider taking Math 112 unless you had a strong trigonometry background in high school.

Note that the section number is important since these courses are integrated with each other. In other words, you can not mix and match schedules.

For students required to take MATH 100

If you are required to take MATH 100 (based on ACT-Math score of 18 to 21, or placement test results), you should register for the schedule shown below. After MATH 100, you will need to take MATH 112 (trigonometry). You will begin the integrated engineering sequence (including CHEM 100 and MATH 240) in the fall quarter next year after you have successfully completed MATH 112.
