Third Party Fundraising Guidelines Therapy Focus welcomes individuals, groups and organisations who wish to facilitate events and activities with the purpose of raising funds for Therapy Focus. To ensure Therapy Focus complies with associated regulations, it is important that the following guidelines are adhered to by Third Parties (individuals or organisations external to Therapy Focus) undertaking fundraising activities. Once you have read and understood these guidelines, please sign the declaration and return to Therapy Focus. 1. FUNDRAISING FOR THERAPY FOCUS
1.1. ‘Fundraiser/s’ means the third party individual/group/organisation hosting fundraising events or activities to raise proceeds for Therapy Focus. The Fundraiser is a third party and is not an agent of Therapy Focus and does not receive payment for fundraising for Therapy Focus. The Fundraiser does not represent Therapy Focus and does not speak or act on Therapy Focus’ behalf. 1.2. The Fundraiser’s activities are external to Therapy Focus and therefore not official Therapy Focus activities. The Fundraiser takes sole responsibility and liability for the planning, promotion and management of events and activities. Therapy Focus may provide guidance and support if suitable. 1.3. The Fundraiser’s activities must align with Therapy Focus’ purpose and organisational values, and cannot be associated with the promotion of alcohol, tobacco and/or drugs. 1.4. Therapy Focus will not endorse high risk fundraising events or activities including, but not limited to, extreme sports, use of firearms or fireworks and motor vehicle or motorbike racing, or any event which may detract from the principle of an inclusive society. Therapy Focus is unable to provide public liability insurance cover to Fundraisers.
2. ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
2.1. The Fundraiser is required to apply to fundraise for Therapy Focus by submitting a Third Party Fundraising Application. 2.2. Once the application is approved, Therapy Focus will issue an Acknowledgement to Fundraise letter, which the Fundraiser will use to demonstrate acknowledgement. 2.3. It is the responsibility of the Fundraiser to comply with all relevant council and/or state laws and regulations pertaining to their activities, including obtaining appropriate permits/licences if necessary. 2.4. All collectors participating in the appeal should be issued with and display an identification badge which should indicate the name of the collector. 2.5. Persons under the age of 16 acting as collectors must operate in pairs with adult supervision.
3. THERAPY FOCUS NAME, LOGO & RESOURCES
Third Party Fundraising Guidelines | Page 1 of 3 LR160830 3.1. Fundraising activities must be conducted in the name of the Fundraiser and not in the name of Therapy Focus. When referring to Therapy Focus, use wording such as “…proudly supporting Therapy Focus…” or “Funds raised will support the work of Therapy Focus”. 3.2. The Therapy Focus logo cannot be used without prior permission from Therapy Focus. When permission is granted for the use of the Therapy Focus logo, the Fundraiser must comply with the Therapy Focus’ Corporate Style Guide. 3.3. Any communication or artwork that uses Therapy Focus’ name and/or logo must be approved by Therapy Focus before being produced and disseminated. Drafts of these materials should be submitted to Therapy Focus at least 5 business days before approval is needed. 3.4. Where appropriate, Therapy Focus may provide promotional resources for fundraising activities such as flyers, brochures and banners. Resource requirements and preferences should be detailed in the Third Party Fundraising Application when submitted to Therapy Focus.
4. FINANCIAL ACCOUNTABILITY
4.1. All financial aspects of fundraising activities are the sole responsibility of the Fundraiser. Therapy Focus will not pay expenses incurred by the Fundraiser in facilitating events and activities. 4.2. Proceeds raised should be for the purpose stated and not used to subsidise fundraising activities. 4.3. Receipts for tax purposes will only be issued by Therapy Focus to the third party Fundraiser for donations of $2.00 or more. 4.4. All funds raised must be provided to Therapy Focus within 14 days of the end date stated in the Third Party Fundraising Application. 4.5. An accurate record of all income and expenses associated with the fundraising activity and copies of all receipts and invoices for all expenses are to be provided to the Therapy Focus within 30 days of the conclusion of the activity. Therapy Focus reserves the right to withdraw its acknowledgement for fundraising events or activities at any time if the fundraiser fails to adhere to any of the above guidelines.
