Job Description

Job Title: Business Support Advisor

Department: Human Resources and Business Support

Responsible to: Head of Human Resources and Business Support

Salary/Grade AAO Band 1-5

Principle Responsibilities and General Purpose of Job

As a member of the Group’s Human Resources and Business Support team, the Business Support Advisor is expected to deliver an excellent, customer focused service to our tenants and a comprehensive administrative support to Operational colleagues. Specifically, the Business Support Advisor is responsible for providing a front line customer service for tenants and other customers. The post will also provide administrative support to colleagues as agreed by the Business Support Manager.

The post includes the delivery of a high quality customer focused, comprehensive and value for money service in accordance with the Group’s values, aims, policies and procedures. To maximise our potential to be a high performing tenant and customer focused organisation.

Specific Duties and Outlined Responsibilities

Corporate Responsibilities

1. Deliver the administration services relating to front line customer service and office administration. Measurably contribute to the leadership and growth of the Group through effective development and delivery of the communication and people strategy.

2. Ensure all appropriate policies, procedures and legal requirements are adhered to with clear audit trails and maintain all personnel records in accordance with Data Protection Act.

3. Demonstrate consistent commitment to Fife Housing Group values:  Accountable  Firm but fair  Open and Honest  Versatile Working within the Business Support Team

1. Ensure the Group’s policies and procedures are adhered to.

2. Provide a professional front line customer service to tenants and customers and administration service on behalf of the Group.

3. Provide advice and guidance to tenants and other customers on reactive repair and housing allocation and liaise with other colleagues to ensure the smooth delivery of service.

4. Work as directed by the Business Support Manager on facilities management duties.

5. Work alongside other colleagues to ensure Void properties meet the Corporate re-let standard and are let to customers within the agreed re-let timescales in order to minimize rent loss.

6. Liaise with Property and Commercial Business colleagues on the co-ordination of appointment setting for reactive repairs.

7. Provide support to colleagues with general administrative tasks and project work as directed by the Business Support Manager.

8. Assist in the preparation of performance reports in relation to KPI’s and tenants satisfaction.

Other responsibilities

2. Be a risk manager for the Group.

3. To be knowledgeable in relation to the office health and safety issues relevant to the Business Support function and to be committed to ensuring the implementation and development of the Group’s health and safety policies and procedures relating to facilities management.

4. Work as part of an integrated and collaborative Human Resources and Business Support function that is focused on driving business success.
