Program: “ISO9000:2008 What to expect”” This program will be for anyone that is currently registered to ISO9001:2000 or systems based on the ISO 9001 standards or who is looking at putting in a quality management system in their facility. As expected there will be changes in the latest upgrade but they will not be as grand as the last changes were in 2000. Whether you have a mature Quality System or you are just establishing one, this is an opportunity to refresh and share your knowledge and understanding.
Our Speaker . . Harry Mott recently joined Luna Innovations Product Operations in the Blacksburg location in the position of Quality Assurance Manager. Harry has a BA in History with a concentration in Science and Technology, graduating cum laude, from Virginia Tech. Harry is a Senior Member of ASQ and held several positions on the board of Chapter 1107. His Certifications and Training include the Virginia State Productivity and Quality Award Assessment; RABQSA-Certified ISO 9001:2000 Lead Auditor with AIAG ISO/TS 1649:2002 Supplier Auditor Certification; RAB Certified ISO 14001 - Lead Auditor; Certified Quality Manager, American Society of Quality; and Certified Quality Engineer, American Society of Quality. Harry has taught ASQ Certified Quality Engineering and Certified Quality Manager preparation classes for professionals taking the certification exams. Harry's previous work experience was with Dynax America Corporation in Roanoke, VA, where he held the positions of Senior Quality Systems Coordinator; Quality Systems Specialist; and Quality Systems Manager. Harry also held several Quality leadership positions with FiberCom/Litton Network Access Systems in Roanoke; and the positions of Project Manager and Manufacturing Engineer with KDI Electro-Tec in Blacksburg, VA.
