Compassionate Friends: A network of over 650 chapters within all the United States. Members come together to support one another after experiencing the loss of a child. Face 2 Face: An informal peer support group of women who live in the Inland Empire and have lost a baby. Members meet on a monthly basis to share stories and provide comfort to one another. Grief Share: a support group that meets on a weekly basis. It is for anyone who has lost a family member or friend. Each weekly session members watch a video about grief and recovery. Empty Cradle: A peer support group for parents who have lost an infant. Group and individual support offered, as well as community education and a lending library that provides books on grief, loss and healing. Healing Hearts Share: is a network of grieving families who have lost a child due to SIDS, stillbirth, miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy or neonatal death. Linked with SHARE, a not for profit organization that seeks to provide support and community resources, as well as education to those who have experienced loss of an infant. Helping After Neonatal Death (HAND): An informal peer support group of parents who have experienced loss of a baby. Phone support and general support meetings are offered, as well as a 24 hr crisis center where volunteers can talk you through the crisis. Mothers in Sympathy and Support Foundation (MISS): a non-profit, international organization that provides support to grieving families, programs to reduce infant/toddler death and offers volunteer opportunities within the community. Hope mentors are available to come to the home and be a support to the grieving parent/s. Groups are created specifically for children, teens and adults who have experienced loss and are created according to age and relationship. Support groups are also brought to the local schools.
