National 4H Week is October 2nd – 8th 4Hers will be promoting 4H all week!!!!

One Day 4H – School Supply collection The Louisiana 4-H Program has reached out to Texas 4-H to ask for our help in assisting with the flood relief efforts in southern Louisiana. Due to the rains and the damage experienced many youth in the region have not been able to return to school, much less been able to shop for school supplies. The Louisiana 4-H Program is asking for donations of general school supplies which can be distributed to the youth of southern Louisiana. Please drop off supplies at the Extension office any time prior to Oct. 8th .

State Park Trail clean up Also, on Saturday, October 8th help is needed at the Goliad State Park helping with maintenance on the Aranama Nature Trail near the Mission Espiritu Santo. An organized volunteer cleanup will be held from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. While some tools will be available, volunteers are encouraged to bring gloves and pruning clippers for trimming small branches. Refreshments will be provided. Both are One Day 4H Activities……

Bike Ride Sag Stops 2016 Missions Tour de Goliad Bike ride will take place on Saturday, October 15th . 4Hers will need to bring cookies to the Extension office by noon on Friday, October 14th for we can prepare boxes for SAG stops that we will be working for the bike ride.(clubs should have all individual SAG stop information.)

Hunters Safety Course A 1 Day Hunters Safety Course is being offered in Goliad on November 19th and 20th If interested, contact Roger Coleman at 361/649-0464
