WHITE DEER TOWNSHIP BOARD OF SUPERVISORS MEETING MINUTES NEW COLUMBIA, PA June 27, 2017
The regular monthly meeting of the Board of Supervisors of White DeerTownship was held on June 27, 2017. Present were Supervisors Carroll Diefenbach, Larry Seibert, Donald Wilver, Jr.; Solicitor Peter Matson and Secretary Charlene Aeppli. The minutes of the May meeting were unanimously approved following a motion by Donald Wilver, Jr., and second by Larry Seibert.
OLD BUSINESS:
Following a motion by Larry Seibert, and second by Donald Wilver, Jr., the Board of Supervisors voted unanimously to approve the payment of bills as set forth on the bill sheet dated June 27, 2017 the same totaling $36,833.35.
NEW BUSINESS
Auditor Cami Zimmerman resigned from her Auditor position due to moving out of the Township. Following a motion by Larry Seibert, and second by Donald Wilver, Jr., the Board of Supervisors voted unanimously to appoint Carol Yost as Auditor.
PUBLIC COMMENT:
Mr. Barry Troxell asked if the Township was going to trim brush on the west side of Gray Hill Road as it was impeding vision. He also asked about the alley situation in New Columbia ( Koch/Heddings). The Supervisors directed Solicitor Matson to draw up an ordinance to abandon the alley.
Mr. Nathaniel Gearhart would like clarification regarding the Township’s Storm Water Management ordinances. He would also like clarification regarding the Flood Plain Ordinance particularly as it relates to a residence on Leiser Road.
PLANNING AND ZONING COMMENT:
No Plans
SOLICITOR COMMENT:
Solicitor Peter Matson will draw up ordinances to abandon Center St to River Rd, Cherry Alley and Edinger Road.
A resident of New Columbia is threatening to sue the Township regarding handicap parking in front of their property. Solicitor Peter Matson discussed Ag Security Area law/ordinances.
Following a motion by Larry Seibert, and second by Donald Wilver, Jr., the Board of Supervisors voted unanimously to approve a one year extension for Gerald Baker, Jr. regarding his Improvement Guarantee/Storm Water Maintenance Plan.
SUPERVISORS COMMENT:
Carroll Diefenbach discussed the service contract with Cleveland Bros. regarding the new loader.
There being no further business, adjournment was moved by Larry Seibert, and seconded by Donald Wilver, Jr., with unanimous approval of the Supervisors.
