CALL TO ORDER John Munden called the meeting to order at 9:00 a.m.

II. MINUTES Board member Kristina Dyrr motioned to approve minutes of March 21, 2017. Motion seconded by Board member Samuel Bueler. Motion passed unanimously (7-0).

III. CONTINUING EDUCATION: Board member James Ahearne motioned to accept Continuing Education Committee’s March 14, 2017 recommendations as proposed. Board Member Harold Adair seconded the motion. Motion passed unanimously. (7-0).

V.DOCKETS: 2015-08 Update  The Board was advised that Darrin Harper’s failure to pay the prescribed civil penalties and administrative costs has resulted in the matter being turned over to the Attorney General’s Office for collection of fees.

V. EXECUTIVE DIRECTORS REPORT:

 The Board was advised that staff is working with the Arizona Funeral Cemetery Cremation Association (AFCCA) in an effort to comply with the Governor’s Executive Order 2017-03 which is asking the Board to justify all requirements to be licensed in this state including such items as fees, training and continuing education. Staff will be consulting with the Continuing Education Committee for their input

of 4 along with the licensed community and others for suggestions on anything they feel might be overly burdensome or simply could be improved.

 Board staff is in the process of informing the licensed community that effective immediately, Individual Renewal Forms may be filled out and printed from the Funeral Board’s web page https://funeralboard.az.gov/ . Every licensee will be receiving a letter explaining this process and will also include notification that establishments will be receiving their renewal forms the same as previous years.
