L2 Functional Skills English Topic of lesson: Persuasive text – characteristics, uses Lesson Aims (teacher’s intention):

 To revise persuasive text types for different contexts  To revise uses of nouns, verbs and adjectives within text  For students to conduct self evaluation activities

Materials and equipment required: Learning Outcomes. At the end of the lesson, the students should be able to:

Computer, interactive whiteboard, worksheets, personal logs,  Identify and use persuasive language features in text resource/context cards  Revise correct uses of nouns, verbs and adjectives  Complete written and verbal evaluations to demonstrate knowledge of persuasive texts  Complete self/peer evaluation activities to assess progress
