1 [4103] 1 1 Whereas, in 1998, Dean moved to Greenville, where he served as 2 Assistant Attorney General, prosecuting insurance fraud; and 3 4 Whereas, in 2002, Dean was appointed Executive Director of 5 Research and Personnel for the House and Legal Counsel to the 6 Speaker of the House, the Honorable David Wilkins; and 7 8 Whereas, both of these positions carry vital and wide-ranging 9 responsibilities including, but not limited to, providing leadership 10 to the entire House staff, providing support to every House 11 member, and advising the Speaker on legal and parliamentary 12 issues; and 13 14 Whereas, we will sorely miss Dean’s skill and resourcefulness, his 15 enthusiasm, his vision, and his wonderful sense of humor; and 16 17 Whereas, it is appropriate for the members of the House of 18 Representatives to pause in their deliberations so they might 19 express their high regard for this dedicated public servant, Dean 20 Campbell, as he assumes his responsibilities with the Solicitor’s 21 Office for the Thirteenth Judicial Circuit. Now, therefore, 22 23 Be it resolved by the House of Representatives: 24 25 That the members of the House of Representatives express their 26 gratitude and friendship to Mr. Dean Campbell for his years of 27 service to the House of Representatives, and especially for his 28 service as Executive Director of House Research and Personnel 29 and Legal Counsel to the Speaker, and wish him well in his new 30 position with the Solicitor’s Office for the Thirteenth Judicial 31 Circuit. 32 33 Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to 34 Mr. Dean Campbell. 35 ----XX---- 36
