Air Care UNC Carolina Air Care was officially formed in 1986. We currently offer an adult and pediatric transport team. We have two helicopters located in Chapel Hill and Fayetteville and a dedicated 24/7 pediatric transport team with a specialized pediatric ambulance. Pastoral Care Meet Hadley Kifner, Pediatric Chaplain at the Children's Chapel on the Ground Floor of Memorial Hospital The chaplains in Pastoral Care work with people of all faiths and religious backgrounds. They are available to help you draw upon the healing power of faith during your stay in the hospital. The John M. Reeves All Faiths Chapel is located on the 1st floor, main hospital and is open at all times for prayer and meditation. An interdenominational service is held in the chapel on Sunday mornings at 10:30 for patients, families and visitors. If you are unable to attend, you can still see the service by turning your TV to channel 7 at this time. If you have an immediate need, a chaplain is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. SAFEchild NC, 2815 Kidd Road, Raleigh Multidisciplinary Team Meeting includes supportive representatives from Wake County Department of Social Services, Wake County Law Enforcement, Wake County District Attorney’s Office, Wake County Sex Abuse Response Team, Wake County Area Hospitals, collaborative mental health agencies or private mental health practitioners, Wake County Public Schools and Wake County Guardian Ad Litem Program. Social Skills Group at Carolina Institute for Developmental Disabilities 101 Renee Lynne Court, Carrboro, NC 27510 http://can.unc.edu/images/uploads/SocialSkills_brochure.pdf The Carolina Institute for Developmental Disabilities Social Skills Clinic is a group-based intervention designed to help adolescents and young adults improve their social skills. Topics covered include how to make and keep friends, navigating social situations, and expressing emotions. Because the sessions rely on back-and-forth between participants, participants must have fluent speech (i.e., be able to communicate in complete sentences). The class is open to those with a formal diagnosis that impacts their social abilities, including Social Anxiety Disorder, Asperger's, Autism, AD/HD, as well as to those who simply wish to improve their social skills. Sessions will have up to 10 participants and be led by two therapists. Sessions will be supervised by a licensed clinical psychologist with specialized training in social skills education. Sessions will last one hour and will run for 8 weeks.
