Committee Goal(s):
1. To hold 4 regional seminars during 2010.
2. To obtain donated location space and donated food for the events.
3. To have six topics/speakers for each event. Speakers should be a mix of practitioners and consultants. No more than 2 speakers for each event would be from out of state and receive travel reimbursement. The other 4 speakers would be from the local region.
4. To develop a toolkit for Regional Seminar Coordinators to use.
5. Update the Education website with more tools for future committee members.
6. To plan regional seminar events with the goal of profitability for the AHIA.

Problems/Challenges in meeting Committee Goals: Communication regarding Regional Seminars varies depending on the Region. As Regional Seminars Chair, I plan to schedule a meeting in late March to address this issue. The AHIA website for Regional Seminars should help as well.
We need to ensure that we have programs with a mix of Practitioners and Consultants, so that one group/person does not dominate the event.
