Travis Rice Pioneers New Tricks and Technology in Season’s Most Anticipated Snowboard Film “That’s It, That’s All.” releases worldwide this fall
Jackson Hole, Wyoming (July 30, 2008) – “That’s It. That’s All,” the groundbreaking snowboard film produced by Brain Farm arrives to viewers worldwide this fall. Travis Rice invites the world to join in the epic ride, as he and a dream team crew set out to find the new zones, tricks and a whole new perspective on snowboarding.
“’That’s It, That’s All.’ is epic snowboarding meets Planet Earth,” explains Curt Morgan, President of Brain Farm. “The film is a visually stimulating piece of work that pulls in a wider audience by encompassing the most progressive riding in the world with unbelievable travel and nature footage.”
In an attempt to push the progression of action sports films, “That’s It, That’s All.” raises the bar on both the level of athleticism and quality of production. For two years, producers Rice and Morgan traveled the world in search of con- ditions that capture the essence of snowboarding. This quest took the riders to New Zealand, Japan, Germany, Cana- da, Valdez, AK, Jackson Hole, WY and Mammoth, CA. Using the features found in these locations, Rice began invent- ing new tricks including the first landing of a double backside rodeo 1080 (spinning three times, while going through 2 inversions).
Using state of the art equipment with access to a dream team of snowboarders, the producers created a visual snow- board film that redefines the genre. A dozen models of cameras were used during production including for the first time in core action sports, the Wescam 35, to film stable follow-cam shots on snowmobiles and the Cineflex HD, to capture steady aerial shots from helicopters.
“We put everything we humanly could into the production of this film,” said Travis Rice, Snowboarder and Co-Owner of Brain Farm. “Quiksilver and Red Bull stepped up to help us match top caliber riding with the highest possible pro- duction quality. Our hope is to showcase snowboarding in a whole new light.”
“That’s It, That’s All.” includes the most unique footage ever shot of Travis Rice, Mark Landvik, Nicolas Müller, Terje Håkonsen, Jeremy Jones, John Jackson, Pat Moore, Scotty Lago, Bryan Iguchi, Jake Blauvelt, Danny Kass and many more. There are many ‘firsts’ in the film including the first landed attempts at a handful of tricks, first time in locations and the first full, professional quality HD core snowboard film.
“That’s It, That’s All.” comes to DVD, Blu-ray™ and goes on tour in September 2008 with an iTunes release in October. Media Kit 8 CIRCE WALLACE Senior Vice President of Wasserman Media Group LLC Executive Producer for “That’s It, That’s All.”
Circe Wallace got her start on the mountains outside of Seattle. Snowboarding became her first love. She won various northwest titles calling the ominous Mt. Baker her home hill. Riding with greats such at Mike Ranquet, Craig Kelly and Jamie Lynn, Wallace honed her skills going on to develop some of the first women’s specific snowboard gear in the market place. As the first Roxy snowboard girl, first girl to have a signature product with Vans (first boot built on women’s last) and a pro model board with Ride, she worked beyond her riding to progress the women’s space in the sport.
After various video parts, contest and ACL reconstructions, Wallace retired from professional snowboarding. From there she took her decade of in-depth action sports knowledge into the uncharted territory of sports management, where she could help up-and-coming athletes further action sports. Having worked in the agent and producer capacity for 10 years, Wallace has managed the world’s biggest names in skateboarding including Eric Koston, Paul Rodriguez and Ryan Sheckler. Yet her heart remains with snowboarding. Managing Travis Rice for most of his career, she has executive produced projects including “Community Project,” co-created and produced this year’s Quiksilver Natural Selection and is proud to EP Travis’s newest adventure in film making, “That’s It, That’s All.”
