[Animated Sequence] Behind the counter at a mamak shop, with one of his workers next to him - Shaiful is pouring coffee tea between two mugs and speaking to the camera.

[Shaiful] My name is Shaiful Rahman. I’m the manager here. I’m all in one. I do everything.

[Animated Sequence] Hands flipping dough and spreading it. The dough is placed on the pan to begin cooking. Shaiful is pouring coffee tea into various glasses to be served.

[Shaiful] When the customers come here they want food that’s fast and delicious.

[Animated Sequence] Close-up of hands flipping and kneading dough into balls. Tandoori chicken on skewers, Plates of toast and fried chicken are being served to customers. Shaiful picks up plates from the counter to serve. Close up of tandoori chicken on a skewer being placed into the oven.

[Shaiful] The faster, the better. When there’s quality, customers are satisfied.

[Animated Sequence] Quick vertical split screen of tandoori chicken on skewers behind the counter. On the other side, chicken is being served on a plate. Transition to next horizontal split screen – cups of coffee tea are being served, roti canai is being flipped on the stove. You can hear glasses being rearranged on the counter.

[Animated Sequence] Split-screen ends – shot of close-up of fried chicken being placed onto a plate of roti. Scene changes to worker behind the counter wrapping up a bag of food to give to a customer. A different worker pours coffee tea from mug to mug, showing a beautiful stream of coffee tea flowing between the two. Scene changes to a close up of a tray, full coffee mugs of tea appear on it in a hyperlapse – two at a time. Close up of Shaiful speaking to the camera behind the counter. Cut to Shaiful serving rice onto two plates from a rice cooker and walking over to two customers to serve them the plates.

[Shaiful] If there are 100 customers, I will put 2 to 3 workers here so that we can send the 100 orders out as fast as we can and make sure it’s delicious.

[Animated Sequence] Shot of Shaiful speaking to 2 customers after serving them, all three are laughing and smiling at the conversation. Shaiful walks away with a smile. Cut to Shaiful managing customers payments and packing bags of takeaway food for customers

[Shaiful] I have to get involved, otherwise things will get stuck.

[Animated Sequence] Shaiful is checking drink orders for accuracy, making sure that everything on the tray is correct before picking up the tray to deliver to customers. The camera follows him as he walks through the restaurant. Shaiful puts the drinks on a table for his customers

[Shaiful] My job is to take orders, make roti, fry food, and make drinks.

[Animated Sequence] Close up of customers eating and laughing. They’re enjoying their dinner while laughing and having a chat. Cut to Shaiful sitting down at one of the tables and speaking to the camera, he’s more relaxed and taking a break from work.

[Shaiful] When I have given good service to the customers, I see a satisfied look on their face. It’s that satisfied feeling that’s invaluable.
