ASSOCIATED STUDENTS OF COLLEGE OF ALAMEDA Regular Meeting Minutes April 30th, 2015 4:30 pm Student Center (F) Building, Ground Floor, Forum College of Alameda 555 Ralph Appezzato Memorial Parkway Alameda, CA 94501-2109

Members of the public may address the Council on any item within the Council’s jurisdiction. A summary of Council rules concerning communications from the public is available from the ASCOA Secretary at the meetings. Persons addressing items included on the agenda will be heard at the time the item is considered. Persons requesting to address items or subjects which are not on this agenda will be heard under the agenda item “Communications from Members of the Public.” Assistance will be provided to those requiring accommodations for disabilities in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990. Interested persons must request the accommodation at least 48 hours prior to the meeting to the ASCOA President.

ADOPTION OF THE AGENDA It is moved by Jeramy and seconded by Munkhsuuri to adopt the agenda after tabling the Latino Unidos Funds Request, the Club Charter, and Reports.

APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES It is moved by Dayana and seconded Munkhsuuri to approve the minutes from April 30th, 2015.

COMMUNICATIONS FROM MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC

(Please line-up to speak when your name is called.) This portion of the agenda provides an opportunity for members of the public to address the Council on matters not included on this agenda. A maximum of 14 minutes (2 minutes per individual maximum) will be provided for speakers under this agenda item. Requests to speak which cannot be honored within the time limit will be scheduled for subsequent meetings in the order received. Under the Brown Act, Council members are not allowed to discuss and/or take formal action at today’s meeting on items brought before them under this item. Council members are only allowed to respond briefly. Written statements can be submitted to the ASCOA Secretary for inclusion in the minutes.

OLD BUSINESS

1. Presidents Announcements. Presenter: Tarundeep Singh The Council shall hear the announcements from the President.

Singh: (I will call in if I can)  The battle of the clubs has to be moved to May 11th & 13th.  I am going to be at GA this weekend. Please make sure to look through the resolution packet I have emailed you and let me know if there is anything you wish to let me know your views about. Call or Text 510-289-7241, and I’ll get back to you as soon as I can.  Reports are due.  The awards Ceremony is coming up so please help out any way that you can.  Please make sure to attend your committee meetings.  The Graduation Stoles have been ordered.  The Award Ceremony Awards have been order and will be ready to be picked up.  Please turn in all and any fund Requests.  Let’s all have a great weekend.

2. Awards Ceremony Fund Request. Presenter: Richard Rose. The council shall hear a financial request for the award ceremony. It is moved by Jeramy and seconded by Munkhsuuri to approve the fund request for the Awards Ceremony DJ, German Valencia from fund 71, in the amount of $575.00.

NEW BUSINESS

1. Latino Unidos Fund Request: Presenter: Gabi The council shall hear a fund request from Latino Unidos. Tabled

2. Young Kings and Queens of the Round Table Club. Presenter: Club Member. The council shall hear a fund request from Young Kings and Queens of the Round Table Club. Tabled

3. Club Charter. Presenter: VPO The council shall hear a request for club charter. Tabled

4. Election Banner Reimbursement. Presenter: Jeramy Rolley. The council shall hear a request to reimburse Singh for the election banner in the amount of $45.53. It is moved by Jeramy and seconded by Dayana reimburse $45.53 from Fund 71, to Tarundeep Singh for the cost of the Election Banner.

5. SAMI Club Fund Request. Presenter: VPP The council shall hear a fund request from SAMI Club. It is moved by Jeramy and seconded by Munkhsuuri to reimburse up to $100.00 from Fund 71 SAMI Club Account, to the SAMI Club Advisor, Sabeen Sandhu for the cost of purchasing food for the SAMI Club event on May 5th, 11:00am Room D206.
