JULY FARM TRIAL (Saturday 7/25/09) - AMENDED JULY REGULAR STOCKDOG TRIAL (Sunday 7/26/09) - TWO TRIALS ON SUNDAY Judge Robert Myrick/NM for both events

This Event is ASCA sanctioned. All ASCA rules are applicable. A correctly and fully completed ASCA entry blank is required. Open to ALL APPROVED ASCA HERDING BREEDS.

SATURDAY FARM TRIAL: Limited to 18 runs. Farm trial is on sheep exclusively. Diagram of Farm Trial attached, together with dimensions of all arenas, take-pens, re-pens, and instructions for trialing. Open and Advanced Divisions offered. SUNDAY REGULAR TRIAL: Trial One: sheep, cattle, & ducks. Sheep & Cattle are both Course C/right hand chute & Ducks are Course B. (Course C - 180’ X 390’ Take-Pen/Re-Pen 20’ x 20’) (Duck Arena: 90 x 100) Diagram of Course C is attached. Trial Two: sheep, cattle & ducks - all course B (See Farm Trial diagram for arena dimensions). Collectively both Sunday trials will have no more than 40 total runs . Divisions available: FEO, Junior, Novice, Started, Open, Advanced

ENTRIES OPEN: Wednesday/JULY 1, 2009 to all breeds Pre-entries taken July 1, 2009 to July 20, 2009 Day-of fee applicable July 20, 2009 to day of trial (postmark required on pre-entries!) Pre-entry fee: Farm Trial/$55 and Regular Trial: sheep/$35; cattle/$45; ducks $30 - all stock $105 (add $10 for day of entry fee) Bitches in heat run last in the Farm Trial and in order in the regular trial. Run order is drawn the night before for both the Farm Trial and the Regular Trial.

MAKE CHECKS PAYABLE TO: Lobo ASA Checks are deposited weekly. Insufficient funds void the entry unless check is made good within seven days of notification by Lobo ASA - you will be charged $30 for insufficient funds.

NOTICE REFUNDS: Entry fees will not be returned if the dog's entry is pulled or withdrawn. Entry fees will not be returned if the show cannot be opened or be completed due to riots, civil disturbances, acts of God, public emergencies or other events beyond the control of Lobo ASA. Entry fees will not be refunded if the dog is absent, disqualified, excused or barred from competition by the Show Committee, ASCA, the Host, show veterinarian, Course Director, Livestock provider, or stockdog judge. SUBSTITUTIONS: Substitutions are allowed by owner/handler. No charge for substitutions. MOVEUPS: No charge for move-ups. Move-ups are done during registration time only.

Registration: (Garage Area at the Main House) Saturday & Sunday: 7:30 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. (all) HANDLER'S MEETING: 8:00 a.m. in front of the garage (Trial 2 immediately follows Trial 1) START TIME: 10 minutes after Handler's Meeting (ducks on Sun may run back-to-back Trials 1&2) TRIAL SITE: Legends Three Pine Ranch, 671 Langley Road, Estancia, NM 87016-8032, around 6600' altitude - tie tarps securely; no dumping on site; dress in layers (bring coats); use sunscreen; terrain can be uneven - dryland pastures; high desert

HOLD HARMLESS: The Show Secretary, Show/Trial Committee, Members of LASA, and the owners of the host facility, Legends Three Pine Ranch & Australian Shepherds L.L.C., assume no responsibility for any loss, damage or injury sustained by any exhibitor, handler, dog, property, child or spectator. This show & trial are being held on private property. You understand by your attendance and/or entry and entry that the Show/Trial Committee and Hosts have the right to refuse or excuse any entry or spectator for good cause. Good cause would be violation of the private property owners’ rights or violation of the ASCA show rules.

CAMPING ON SITE: $15/night for electric (no sewer hookups - handicap get priority); $10/night for dry camping - water available to fill tanks - portapotties on site - MAKE CHECK PAYABLE TO "LEGENDS" for any camping fees. Note: Electric is limited to availability.

DIRECTIONS TO SITE: ►LEAVING ALBUQUERQUE/HEADING EAST: From I-40 east of Albuquerque, get off in Tijeras and take 337. Head south, staying on. 337 (about 37 miles) until it deadends into Highway 55. Turn left heading east. Watch for milemarker 89 on your righthand side (that is county road AO27/Riley Road). Turn right; it's a blacktop road. Go down until you come to the first dirt road that turns left; there is a cluster of mailboxes at the corner (Shope is not among them); this is AO32/Langley Road. Turn left onto AO-32, Langley Road. The ranch is the first entrance on your lefthand side. ►COMING FROM SOCORRO TOWARDS BELEN/HEADING NORTH: From I-25 south of Albuquerque, take highway 60 to Mountainair. Turn left from Moutainair onto highway 55; watch for highway 542, turn right onto that highway. Then watch for county road AO27 (about milemarker). Turn left ontoAO27/Riley Road (it starts out dirt and then goes to black top – you’ve passed Riley if you see Soloman Rd!) and follow it down to county road AO32. AO32, Langley Road is a dirt road to your right; watch for the cluster of mailboxes on the corner), turn right on AO32, Langley Road and the ranch is the first entrance you'll come to on your lefthand side. ►COMING FROM RATON/LAS VEGAS/GLORIETA/HEADING SOUTH: From I-25 north of Santa Fe (bypassing Santa Fe & Albuquerque both), take highway 285 just outside of Glorieta. Then take the right fork onto highway 41. Follow highway 41 into Moriarty and then on into Estancia. At Estancia, go through the town to the end at which time you'll come to highway 55, turn right and follow it until you see AO30 (Ranchhouse Road)(it's before mile marker 89). Watch on your lefthand side for AO30; turn left onto AO30; it'll deadend into AO32 (no sign for the road). Turn right and the ranch is the first entrance you'll come to on your righthand side. ►COMING FROM CLOVIS ON HIGHWAY 60 Watch for the exit for highway 41 that goes into Estancia. Turn right onto highway 41. Just before you get to Estancia, you'll come to highway 55. Turn left onto highway 55. Follow it until you see AO30 (Ranchhouse Road)(it's before mile marker 89). Watch on your lefthand side for AO30; turn left onto AO30; it'll deadend into AO32 (no sign for the road). Turn right and the ranch is the first entrance you'll come to on your righthand side. If you pass AO30/Ranchhouse Road, you’ll come to milemarker 89/Riley road, AO27 – follow instructions above for that road.

AWARDS: Strip Ribbons ONLY to all placements and specialty wins. Specialty Wins are: HIT Farm Trial Australian Shepherd and HIT Farm Trial Other Breed. Regular Trial: MPS (any breed) - started/open scores only to count; HC (any breed) - open & advanced scores only to count. You can run for MPS or HC, not both - indicate on your entry blank either MPS or HC. Need not be qualifying scores for MPS or HC. Head to the lawn area adjacent to the main house for awards. NOTE: * Please keep all dogs on lead when not competing. Pick up after your dog. * Keep children and dogs back from the arenas; keep children & dogs quiet when a team is competing. * This trial site can have snakes (rattlers included). Call for the hosts if you encounter a snake. * There is no vet on site and no vet on call. A listing of vets is readily available on the bulletin board in the garage. Vets can be one-half to one hour away. Doctors are one-half to one hour away. Hospitals are one hour away. First aid is available at your discretion; you agree to hold harmless any individual aiding or giving first aid. * Please do not potty dogs on the tennis court. You may exercise dogs in the pasture area; please pick up after your dogs. * No dogs up at the main house or on the lawn areas. * No photographer on site. Win shots, however, may be coordinated with Stephanie Shope-McDaniel if you do not have a camera.

LUNCH Sat/Sun only: $5 - main course, beverage & dessert - make checks payable to "Legends" - stock workers and timers eat for free!!!! DO MAKE A RESERVATION FOR LUNCH.
