Director of Logistics - Senior Management responsibility for leadership of multi-site physical distribution network providing 3rd party services for frozen, refrigerated and ambient temperature products. Over 700,000 square feet of facility space. - Facility and security management; Materials handling equipment selection and maintenance program; SOP design and implementation for operational processes, employee development for warehouse and administration complement of 70+ staff and 6 managers. - Financial accountability for development and achievement of operating expenses of $5 million. - Successful design and implementation of HACCP Prerequisite Program.

MIDWEST FOOD PRODUCTS – NESTLE CANADA. (1996-1997)

Director of Logistics - Development of a customer service focused, cost effective and innovative supply chain management strategy for frozen french fries for McDonalds Canada and USA.. - Responsibility for Transportation; Material Management procurement; Inventory and Production Planning, Physical Distribution 400,000 sq ft facility; Customer Services and Information Technology. - Development and coaching 5 Managerial staff. - Annual variable distribution budget in excess of $10 million. - Development of SOP’s supporting HACCP Food Safety Program.

COTTER CANADA HARDWARE AND VARIETY COOP. (1989-1996)

Supply Chain Manager - Logistics expense reduction initiatives emphasizing elimination of non-value added supply chain activities; improvement and standardization of operational processes; training and development of distribution centre employees. - Process design that facilitate direct vendor to retail store channels bypassing the distribution centre thereby improving service lead times and expense elimination. - Implement vendor freight consolidation program minimizing less-than-truckload shipments. - Design and implementation of cross docking activities maximizing physical throughput.
