Councillors K Beer , P Burrows, S Bruce, V Christmas, M Fisher, J Meakin, B Palacio H Sanham, D Squire, , T Woodman In attendance Town Clerk Chaplain Kay D’Albertanson offered prayers ELECTION OF MAYOR FOR THE YEAR 2014/15 Members considered Notices of Motion from Councillors Beer, Bruce and Meakin concerning the above (previously circulated) that: Councillor Gaynor Sedgwick be appointed as Mayor of Seaton for the year 2014/15 RESOLVED that Councillor Gaynor Sedgwick be elected in the office of Mayor 689 of Seaton for the year 2014/15 DECLARATION OF ACCEPTANCE OF OFFICE In accordance with the requirements of the Local Government Act 1972, the Mayor duly signed the Declaration of Acceptance of Office The Mayor responded by thanking councillors for their support and stated that it was an honour and privilege to be Mayor of the town APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE Apologies for absence were received from Councillor S Williams DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST Councillor P Burrows declared a non-pecuniary interest as a dual-hatted member in his capacity as a District Councillor

ELECTION OF DEPUTY MAYOR FOR THE YEAR 2014/15 Members considered Notices of Motion from Councillors Squire and Sedgwick concerning the above (previously circulated) that:

Councillor John Meakin be appointed as Deputy Mayor of Seaton for the year 2014/15

RESOLVED that Councillor John Meakin be elected in the office of Deputy 690 Mayor of Seaton for the year 2014/15
