Juventus and Sevilla FC are both looking to build on winning starts in UEFA Champions League Group D when they meet for the first time in Turin on matchday two. Match background Juventus • Massimiliano Allegri's men began their campaign with an impressive 2-1 comeback win at Manchester City FC. • Juventus are on a 13-match unbeaten home run in UEFA competition, dating back to a 2-0 loss to FC Bayern München in April 2013. Their record in Turin in last term's UEFA Champions League was W5 D1 L0. • Juve faced three Spanish sides in last season's competition. The Bianconeri slumped 1-0 at Club Atlético de Madrid on matchday two, then were held 0-0 by Atleti four games later. They fared better against Real Madrid CF, winning 2- 1 at home in the 2014/15 semi-finals en route to a 3-2 aggregate triumph. The Turin club then lost the final 3-1 to FC Barcelona. • Their overall home record against Liga opposition is W13 D7 L2. Sevilla • The Andalusian club earned their first UEFA Champions League home victory since 2009 when they overcame VfL Borussia Mönchengladbach 3-0 on matchday one. • It is a little over four months since Sevilla won in Italy for the first time when defeating ACF Fiorentina 2-0 in the second leg of their UEFA Europa League semi-final to secure a 5-0 aggregate success. Neto, now at Juventus, was the Viola goalkeeper. • Sevilla lost just one of seven away games in their triumphant 2014/15 UEFA Europa League run (W3 D3 L1). • In winning their fourth UEFA Europa League/UEFA Cup in May, Sevilla surpassed Juventus's three titles and became the club with most triumphs in the competition outright. • The third of those four successes came at the Juventus Stadium in 2013/14, as Sevilla dispatched SL Benfica 4-2 on penalties after a goalless final. Coach and player links • As AC Milan coach, Allegri suffered UEFA Champions League elimination against Barcelona twice in successive seasons – in the 2011/12 quarter-finals and the 2012/13 round of 16. His overall record against Liga clubs with the Rossoneri was W1 D4 L5. • With Valencia CF, Sevilla boss Unai Emery oversaw home (3-2) and away (2-1) wins over Genoa CFC in the 2009/10 UEFA Europa League group stage. • Fernando Llorente scored 23 goals in two campaigns with Juventus (2013/15), landing back-to-back league titles before joining Sevilla. • Ciro Immobile began his career in Juve's youth ranks and after his senior debut in March 2009 he appeared five times in total for the Bianconeri. He returned to Turin with Borussia Dortmund for a 2-1 reverse in last term's UEFA Champions League round of 16. • Martín Cáceres played for Sevilla between 2010 and 2012. He also had spells in Spain with RC Recreativo de Huelva and Barcelona. • Sami Khedira won seven out of eight matches against Sevilla with Real Madrid. • Neither Álvaro Morata nor Mario Mandžukić scored against Sevilla in Spanish football (two appearances each with Real Madrid and Atlético Madrid respectively). • As an AC Chievo Verona player, Marco Andreolli faced Juventus three times, drawing twice in Turin and losing once at home. • As a Milan player (2014–15), Adil Rami lost all three games played against Juventus. • Rami was in the France side beaten 3-0 by Hernanes's Brazil in a June 2013 friendly, with Hernanes scoring the second goal. • Benoît Trémoulinas made his France debut in a 2-1 away win against Italy in November 2012. Andrea Barzagli, Leonardo Bonucci, Giorgio Chiellini and Claudio Marchisio played for Italy. • Players who have played together: Lichtsteiner & Rami (LOSC Lille 2006–08)

They made a worse start in 1955/56 (four draws, two defeats) and had not lost three of their first six league games since 1987/88. • Juventus have not won in three home matches this term, for the loss of seven points – they dropped only six points in Turin in the previous two seasons combined. • Paul Pogba scored his first penalty in Serie A as the Old Lady triumphed 2-0 at Genoa CFC on 20 September. • Mario Lemina, a summer arrival from Olympique de Marseille, made his Bianconeri debut in Genoa and kept his place for the 1-1 home draw with league newcomers three days later. He scored his first goal in Saturday's 2-1 loss to SSC Napoli. • Mandžukić suffered a thigh injury against Genoa that is expected to sideline him for three weeks. • Khedira sustained a right thigh injury in a friendly against Marseille on 1 August and is yet to make his competitive debut for the club, although he returned to full training at the weekend. • Zaza deputised for Mandžukić versus Frosinone and marked his first start for the club by opening the scoring. Neto made his Juventus debut in the same game, taking the place of the rested Buffon, but was denied a clean sheet by Leonardo Blanchard's 92nd-minute goal. Bonucci was captain for the first time. • Paulo Dybala has been called up by Argentina for the first time for the Albiceleste's upcoming 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Ecuador and Paraguay. Sevilla • Sevilla picked up only two points from their first five Liga games, scoring two goals in the process, but beat Rayo Vallecano de Madrid 3-2 on Saturday. • Sebastián Cristóforo made his first competitive appearance since 3 December 2014 in the 2-0 defeat by UD Las Palmas on 23 September. • Gaël Kakuta and Sergio Escudero (muscle injuries) are doubtful for the trip to Turin; Éver Banega (knee), Daniel Carriço (hamstring) and Rami (adductor) are out.

9 Juventus - Sevilla FC Wednesday 30 September 2015 - 20.45CET (20.45 local time) Match press kit Juventus Stadium, Turin Head coach Juventus: Massimiliano Allegri Date of birth: 11 August 1967 Nationality: Italian Playing career: UC Cuoiopelli, AS Livorno Calcio (twice), Pisa Calcio, AC Pavia, Pescara Calcio (twice), , AC Perugia, Calcio Padova, SSC Napoli, AC Pistoiese, Aglianese Calcio 1923 Coaching career: Aglianese Calcio 1923, SPAL 1907, US Grosseto FC, US Sassuolo Calcio, Cagliari Calcio, AC Milan, Juventus • A creative attacking midfielder, Allegri started out in his native Tuscany with Cuoiopelli and then Livorno, his hometown club. First appeared in Serie A for Pisa against Milan in 1988/89 but played only twice that season before heading back to Livorno. • Returned to Serie A after helping Pescara win promotion in 1992. The following term he scored 12 goals under Giovanni Galeone, the coach Allegri still considers his mentor. After leaving Pescara in 1993, had spells at Cagliari, Perugia, Padova and Napoli before hanging up his boots back in Tuscany with fourth division Aglianese in 2003. • Moved straight into coaching at Aglianese, prior to taking charge at SPAL and Grosseto. In November 2008 he won the Panchina d'Oro (golden bench) as the third division's best coach having led Sassuolo to promotion. • Had earlier been appointed by Cagliari whom he led to ninth place in 2009, winning the Panchina d'Oro again, this time as Serie A's best coach. A bad run of results the following season prompted Allegri's dismissal on 13 April 2010 – although he had already done enough to earn a two-year contract at Milan. • Allegri's first season at San Siro ended with his new club winning the Scudetto for the first time since 2004. Dismissed in January 2014 with Milan 11th in Serie A, that summer he was appointed to succeed Antonio Conte at Juventus. Allegri won the Scudetto and the Coppa Italia with Juventus in his first season, also taking his side to the final of the UEFA Champions League. Sevilla FC: Unai Emery Date of birth: 3 November 1971 Nationality: Spanish Playing career: Real Sociedad de Fútbol, CD Toledo, Racing de Ferrol, CD Leganés, Lorca Deportiva CF Coaching career: Lorca Deportiva CF, UD Almería, Valencia CF, FC Spartak Moskva, Sevilla FC • The son and grandson of famous goalkeepers, Unai Emery took his first steps as a footballer in the youth ranks at Real Sociedad, where he played as a left-sided midfielder. Failed to reach the first team but carved out a career in the lower leagues with Toledo, Ferrol, Leganés and Lorca before being forced to retire at 33 having suffered a knee injury. • He was immediately offered the chance to coach Lorca – the club with whom he had ended his playing career – and took them up to the second division in his first season in charge, 2004/05. After coming close to taking Lorca into the Spanish top flight the following season, was appointed by UD Almería ahead of 2006/07 and duly won promotion to the Liga. • Almería shone among the Spanish elite, finishing the season in eighth place while their manager's reputation soared, earning him a call to replace Ronald Koeman at Valencia, whom he guided to third place in the Liga in both 2009/10 and 2010/11. • Repeated the third-place finish in 2011/12 but stepped down at the end of the campaign, agreeing a two-year contract to take charge of Spartak in May 2012 but lasted only till that November. • Swiftly returned to Spain, and Sevilla, who he led to the 2013/14 UEFA Europa League final victory against SL Benfica via a semi-final defeat of Valencia. Repeated the trick a year later, Sevilla seeing off FC Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk in Warsaw to retain the trophy.
