Invited Visiting Professor, University of Bologna, Department of Psychology, Bologna, Italy (2007). Delivered seminars to faculty and students on adolescent psychology, preventing youth violence and educational psychology. Presented research at conferences in Italy.

CNPq National Research Scholar & Professor, Instituto de Psicologia, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul, Porto Alegre, Brazil (2004-2005) Conducted, wrote and published research in the areas of adolescent development, tests and measurements and cross-cultural psychology with colleagues and graduate students in the doctoral adolescent psychology program. Worked to translate and norm psychological instruments (English to Brazilian Portuguese) in the Federal University Tests and Assessments Lab.

Professor of Psychology, Fulbright Senior Scholar at Vologda State Pedagogical University, Vologda, Russia and Leningrad State Regional University, St. Petersburg, Russia (2003-2004) Recipient of Fulbright Scholarship for teaching and research. Taught graduate courses in methods of teaching English, psycholinguistics and cross-cultural psychology.
