JOB TITLE: Grant Manager

CLASSIFICATION:Classified

REPORTS TO: Superintendent

FSLA: Non-Exempt

SALARY RANGE: $20.09 per hour

POSITION: Grant Manager

SUMMARY: The position is split between the District Office and the School sites. The job required the employee to work with the Superintendent and the Finance Manager to write, manage and submit all related reports for all District grants. Under the direction of the Superintendent, serves as the grants manager for all State, Federal and local projects.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (Performance of these functions is the reason the job exists. Assigned job tasks/duties are not limited to the essential functions). Grant Manager-Superintendent directs  Prepares local, State and Federal grants  Manages grant budgets and expenditures  Prepares all requests for funds and final financial statements for State and Federal grants to be reviewed by the Finance Manager and the Superintendent  Prepares all related grant reports  Attends regular meetings of the Career and Technical Advisory Committee  Seeks new grants as opportunities’ arise  Performs other duties as may be assigned QUALIFICATIONS FOR EMPLOYMENT: Knowledge and Abilities: Knowledge of  Must hold a valid driver’s license  Possess typing and keyboarding skills  Possess correct English usage, spelling, grammar, syntax and punctuation skills  Possess excellent interpersonal skills  Possess business mathematics skills and be skilled in mathematical calculations with accuracy  Skilled in office methods and practices, including letter and report writing, word processing, composition, editing and production  Possess computer skills including the advanced usage of software programs: Word, Excel, and other productivity software

Experience and Training: A high school diploma or equivalent are required, further education is preferred Training and/or documented experience budget management and grant writing are preferred Previous school or district experience is preferred

Position functions indoors in an office type environment where most work is performed at a desk. Position may occasionally be required to travel by car to pick up or deliver material.
