781 – PRIME LAMBS 45 – CULL EWES Auctioneer: James Sealy Mobile: 07772 618315 Home: 01788 510206

Prime Lambs – 781 Sold: SQQ 173.10p/kg – Overall Average 174.77p/kg

The lamb trade is hard to follow at the minute, up one minute back the next. Several deadweight loads being cancelled and reports from butchers that the meat can’t be shifted. With the price of corn like it is it may pay to feed these lambs and hope that the trade lifts long term. We would be in line with several this week but not others, but there were lean lambs about today, meat is wanted. Don’t forget you can walk away with your cheque in your hand on the day of the sale, other Auctions expect to be paid on the day - Surely they can pay their vendors on the day? Pay and BE PAID!!
