Stockport CP is a sector leading charity that provides high quality, person centred individual and group based services for Children, Young People and Adults, where we believe people who have disabilities are equally valued and empowered to live full and rewarding lives.
The Society has been undertaking a Development Programme to respond to the changing world of Health and Social Care and take into account the significant new legislation that came into force this year: The Children’s and Family Act 2014 and the Care Act 2014. In response the Society has created two new Services; Adults and Children & Young People. Within the services several new posts called Locality Managers have been created. The Locality Manager will take responsibility for a range of 24 hour, 7 day provisions in Adult Services.
This role will initially be based in the Society’s Skills Group which currently offers a range of day time activities both building and community based. The role will be to ensure that services within this area reflect the requests of individuals with disability’s and are fully resourced in terms of staff, that services are being delivered in line with agreed person centred support plans and that individual outcomes are being achieved. They will line manage the support staff based in this area and they will be responsible for recruitment, performance management and ensuring that cover for sickness and annual leave is in place.
A minimum of 2 years’ experience of health and/or social care services working within the field of disabilities One years’ experience of managing staff including providing staff supervision and day to day monitoring. Must hold or be willing to work towards NVQ 4 in Health and Social Care.
This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS disclosure and two satisfactory references, one of which must be from your current or most recent employer.

Salary: SCP Points 22 – 26 £19,817 - £22,443 pro rata
