1. A quorum being present, the meeting was called to order at 6:05 by chair Valerie Reynolds.

1. A motion to accept September 27, 2015 minutes was made by Val and seconded by Kate. The mo- tion passed unanimously.

3. Val moved to accept the 2015/16 workplan. Kate seconded. Val moved to accept the standard op- erating procedures. Kate seconded. Both motions were approved unanimously.

4. Val discussed the neighborhood association questionnaire. She would like to ask the distribution list (over 1,000 people) what they want from the Association, as well as how they view the association, and requests ideas on other issues to include.

5. The Compass Deadline is at the end of the week. Bruce will draft an article on the election for Kate. We will ask Bill Dolan for a Foot Patrol update. Sarah suggested including the tree lighting.

6. Val announced that our grant application for $750 was approved. Kate requested quotes on poten- tial colors for tablecloth other than black. Val will contact the tablecloth banner supplier to move ahead.

7. Val announced that Bill Dolan is looking for trash can donors. Communications will publicize this re- quest. Julie is interested in sponsoring a can. 8. We are working on flyers for the Ambassador Program, despite our not having anyone to work on this project. Kate met with a potential volunteer with graphic designer experience. Kate emphasized that we need to have a consistent brand image. Kate will be project manager on this one.

9. Sarah will work on Instagram. Her first task to find a new hashtag that doesn’t conflict with the Downtown Neighborhood Association.

10. Kate announced that PDNA could have a half page in the NW Examiner courtesy of NWNW. We need to think what is the best use of the page for 2016.

11. Tasks for the next month are

—Finalize the neighborhood association questionnaire.

—PNCA outreach (Melanie)

Our next meeting will be November 17, 2015, at noon at Isabel’s, 330 NW 10th Avenue.

Kate moved that we adjourn the meeting. Val seconded. The motion passed unanimously and the meeting was adjourned at 7:00 PM.
