INVITATION TO REGISTER ON THE SUPPLIER DATABASE

The South African Council on Higher Education is an independent statutory body established by the higher Education Act, 101 of 1997. The CHE as the Quality Council for Higher Education advises the Minister of Education on all higher education issues and is responsible for quality assurance and promotion through the Higher Education Quality Committee (HEQC).

In order to comply with Section 76(4) (C) of Public Finance Management Act and to ensure competitive process, CHE invites all prospective suppliers and service providers to apply for registration on the CHE database.

An invitation is extended to suppliers and service providers in Gauteng to apply for registration on CHE database for the following: Air-conditioning Electrician services and Messenger services (installation, repairs and Cabling maintenance) Burglar Bars Employee relations Remuneration experts Carpet Cleaning Engineering Consultants Repair and upgrading of (Multidisciplinary) Computers/printers/monitors/ hubs/switches/servers etc. Carpeting/Tiling/ Floor Fire Fighting Equipment and Roofing & Waterproofing covering Consumables Cartridges Furniture removal and Stationery and office supplies storage CCTV and security Generator repairs and Storm water Draining systems Maintenance Ceilings, Partitioning and IT Hardware Supply of software Shop fitting applications including accounting packages. Conference venues Land scape and Gardening Telephone& Data Line services Maintenance Corporate gifts and Lift maintenance and Training and Development Promotional Items repairs Courier services Media/publicity/advertising Transcription/ Translation services Data/telephone network Office furniture Video Conferencing maintenance A maximum of five (5) commodities can be applied for by one supplier or service provider.

The following mandatory documents must be submitted together with fully completed supplier database form for further consideration by the CHE.

1. Original and Valid Tax Clearance Certificate Issued by SARS 2. Certified Copy of CIPC (previously known as CIPRO) registration certificate 3. Valid BBBEE certificate 4. Cancelled cheque / confirmation letter from the bank(not older than 3 months) 5. Company Profile 6. Certified copies of shareholding certificate 7. Certified ID copies shareholders / Directors Failure to submit this documentation may lead to disqualification

ALL service providers or suppliers who are currently providing services or goods to the CHE must not re-apply.

NOTE: 1. Blacklisted companies appearing on the National Treasury database and that are prohibited from conducting business with public entities, shall not be considered. 2. Responding to this invitation does not mean an automatic registration with CHE. The CHE reserves the right to rescind the process should it be deemed necessary to do so. 3. Registration forms will be available from 30 March 2015 for free and may be downloaded from the CHE website or collected at the CHE office. No1 Quintin Brand Street, Persequor Technopark, Brummeria or on the CHE website: www.che.ac.za. 4. Completed forms must be submitted in a sealed envelope marked “VENDOR REGISTRATION” to CHE office. Faxed or emailed forms will NOT be accepted. 5. Only ORIGINAL registration forms will be accepted. Closing date

All registration must be submitted by 11:00 on 17 April 2015 at the CHE office. Late applications will not be considered.
