Target Audience: All FI$Cal roles with access to the Hyperion Planning Application.

Purpose: This Supplemental Job Aid provides the instructions for clearing the web browser’s cache when there are issues with system response in Hyperion.

Background: Web browsers download and store files in a browser cache in order to reuse them the next time you visit the site. This reduces bandwidth use and generally improves responsiveness. Over an extended period of use, however, the web browser cache can become too full and begin slowing down the browser. At this point, the web browser’s cache should be cleared.

The following symptoms are an indication that the browser’s cache should be cleared:  Webpage times out  Slow responsiveness  Slow webpage loading  Website freezes

Step 1: Click Tools (gear symbol) button, and then click Internet Options.

Step 6: Ensure the following options are checked.  Temporary Internet files  Cookies  History  Form data

Step 7: Click the Delete button.

Step 1: Click the Tools menu, and then click Options.

Step 2: In the Advanced tab, click on the Network tab. Then click the Clear Now button. After clicking the button web content cache should read, “0 MB of disk space.”

Click OK to close the Options dialog.

Step 4: When the Restart Firefox dialog box appears, click OK.
