In accordance with 409.1755 F.S., this professional position providing child welfare services. This position serves under the general direction of the District Manager and local State Board Members. This is a highly responsible, professional position involving the review, analysis and development of child specific recruitment plans, recruitment, training and evaluations of adoptive families for children in the Florida “One Church, One Child” adoption recruitment program and the recruitment and training of foster families.
50% #1 Works with the District One Church, One Child Board Members and District Advisory Committee, advising them of the local program needs and activities. Develops and implements recruitment and retention plans for the local district in accordance with the statewide plan, to promote the expeditious movement of children to permanency. Development of child recruitment plans and recruitment of adoptive and foster homes through presentations in churches and other organizations in the community. These activities involve weekend and evening work.
35% #2 Conducts a minimum of two MAPP classes per year. Completes adoptive home studies and submits recommendations to One Church, One Child Headquarters for approval in accordance with agency policies. Provides support services to adoptive and foster families throughout the approval process.
10% #1 Tracks and reports One Church, One Child statistical data for response to recruitment efforts, training, adoption approval and placement activities on a monthly basis. Also responsible for submitting information for ad hoc reports that are prepared by One Church, One Child headquarters.
3% #2 Performs travel in relation to above duties to conduct interviews, conferences, training sessions, and meet with members of the community. Travel is required throughout the district; must have access to reliable transportation on a daily basis.
