Email Instructions for Students Under 13 Years of Age

Welcome to your student email account!

These instructions are for students under the age of 13 years of age only.

The Manhasset School District has setup an email account for each incoming 7th grade student using Microsoft’s Office 365 service. This provides free online accounts for students with access to secure email*, online storage space and access to a lite version of the MS Office 2010 suite of programs.

Manhasset’s domain for the MS service is MUFSDLive.org and your email address will be your District computer network login name followed by @mufsdlive.org. The email allows you access to send and/or receive email only to/from other users on this or the District’s instructional domain (teachers and students in grades 7 -12).

When logging in for the first time it is VERY important that you follow these instructions carefully. 1. Open the Internet Explorer web browser and go to: http://Outlook.com/MUFSDLive.org

2. Now Logout and close all browser windows 3. Open a new browser window and go to http://skydrive.live.com 4. Login with the newly created Live ID you are verifying 5. You will be prompted to enter following information after you sign-in Email Instructions for Students Under 13 Years of Age

6. In the Birth year field input 1895 7. Change the ‘Country/region’ choose United States

8. Click ‘I accept’ 9. At this point you can click either ‘I accept’

That’s it! You’re ready to begin using your Office 365 account.
