Dr. Richard Rossi Award For Excellence and Dedication in Residence Life
The Dr. Richard Rossi Award was created in the Fall of 2010 to celebrate an alumni member who has shown dedication to Creighton University’s Inter Residence Hall Government or National Residence Hall Honorary after graduating. The award is named after Dr. Richard Rossi, the Associate Vice President for Student Services who also serves as the Chief Housing Officer at Creighton University. Dr. Rossi is a strong advocate of student government. He believes students should be collectively engaged and supported through having the opportunity to provide insight and bring about change for residential students. The Dr. Richard Rossi Award winner is recognized with a gift given to the recipient at the Student Services Awards Night on April 22nd, 2012. A memorial of this award with the winner name engraved upon it will be located in the NRHH/IRHG office.
When considering who should receive this award, the committee will take into consideration the following criteria:
A person who has either graduated from Creighton University or who longer lives on campus can win this award. The person should have demonstrated have been involved with residence hall government while attending Creighton University. The person who wins this award will have demonstrated support continued support to residence hall government beyond their time living on campus. Has demonstrated a commitment to Jesuit values and the mission of Creighton University.

2. List the activities that the nominee was involved in while living in the residence halls.
3. How has this member demonstrated support to residence hall government beyond their involvement while a member of IRHG or NRHH?
4. How have you seen this individual demonstrate the mission of Creighton University or Jesuit values such as care of the individual, men and women for and with others, unity of mind and heart, or magis (excellence/the more)?
5. If you could only nominate this person with one sentence what would that sentence be?
