A portion of those visitors will be French and Spanish speakers who may only know limited English. The SBA Richmond District Office has assembled a guidebook of common French and English phrases to help communications between business owners and foreign visitors.
“I am proud to offer this small, but very useful document to help Richmond area business owners,” said Carl Knoblock, SBA Richmond District Office Director. “This is a result of the SBA team listening to concerns from business owners, local governments and the event organizers to provide a product that is useful for everyone.”
English and French are the two primary languages at the races, the U.S. Small Business Administration Richmond District Office is proud to offer this document to enhance communications with French speaking customers. The SBA has now updated the guide to include a Spanish column. The words and phrases included in this document serve as a visual guide where the customer can look at French and Spanish words and point to the English equivalent.
