Design Your Own Bumper Sticker

Goal: For you to create a bumper sticker promoting environmental responsibility followed by a descriptive paragraph to explain what we can do to fix these environmental issues.

Directions: This project is simple: a bumper sticker. The message is simpler: be responsible and take care of our planet.

We all know we need to reduce pollution and take care of our environment, but unfortunately, we tend ignore it. For this project you are being asked to get the message out by designing a bumper sticker that makes a statement about protecting the environment in Europe.

1. On the provided paper, design your bumper sticker. Your bumper sticker should be BOLD in design, and be easy to read from 3-6 feet away. Be sure to use bold colors and only limited wording. Your bumper sticker must be appropriate. When you have finished, cut out your bumper sticker and put your name on the back.

2. On an attached piece of paper, write a descriptive short essay (three paragraphs) about your message. The essay must include an explanation of the theme expressed by the bumper sticker, and reasons for its importance (1st paragraph). Included in your essay, provide at least one statistic to show how bad the pollution is in your chosen area (2nd paragraph). You will get this from the research you do in the computer lab. Be sure to explain solutions, discussing how we can do better to take care of our planet and reduce pollution in Europe (3rd paragraph). Remember, in the United States, we have many of these same problems. We can use these ideas to reduce pollution here at home. Essay: Design Your Own Bumper Sticker
