Parent of a youth baseball player age 7 to 15:

We are pleased to introduce the 2012 Canton Baseball Club Summer Baseball Camp. Camp begins June 18 th and runs through the 21 st . (9:30 – 2:00) Baseball topics that will be covered during morning skills development session are: hitting, baserunning, pitching, proper throwing mechanics, sliding safely, catching, fielding technique, outfield technique, bunting, how to turn a double play, arm strength assessment, speed and agility exercises. After lunch which is provided, each afternoon will consist of a full scrimmage to give the campers opportunities to apply and use techniques and skills learned in the morning skills sessions. The last afternoon of camp will feature a full inning scrimmage from each team on the varsity field and “campers of the week” will be announced.

Our coaching staff for this camp will include high end instruction from the following coaches with college and /or professional playing experience: Head Baseball Coach Mark Blomshield (Western Michigan University), Anthony Holyszko (Western Michigan University), John Wright (Grand Valley), John Johnson (Sienna Heights), Steve Howard (George Mason University / Pittsburgh Pirates), Beau Adams (Indiana State / Richmond Roosters), Jim Wisniewski (South Alabama), Justin Latin (Madonna), as well as an additional Canton High School baseball players to assist in instruction for the campers.
