Macksburg City Council Regular Meeting Minutes August 1, 2016 – 7:00 P.M. – City Hall Macksburg, Iowa

The Macksburg City Council met on August 1, 2016 at 7:01 p.m. at the City Hall located in Macksburg, Iowa.

Mayor Carlson called the meeting to order. Roll call was taken. City Council members present, Jones, Peckham, Breda and Webb.

Peckham made a motion to approve the agenda; Jones seconded and all carried with ayes.

McKinney made a motion to approve the consent agenda which included minutes from July 11, 2016 City Council Regular Meeting, July’s City Treasure Report, and August 2016 bills to be paid; Jones seconded and all carried with ayes.

City Attorney is working on finding the owner of property 200 S. Oak St. to service a nuisance noticing giving said owner 30 days to clean up the yard and mow it, remove the red single wide home, remove the abandoned car, said notice will be served to property owner.

City Council asked Clerk to Contact Huff and Sons about ditch project done by the end of August.

City Clerk advised that Semi-Trailer owner has been sent a notice to remove the Semi-Trailer 30 days of receiving the notice.

City Clerk advised that grant information has been submitted for the street signs.

Safety Deposit content has been tabled until September.

New Business:

City clerk to contact county about getting some bus loading signs on highway where kids are getting on and off the bus.

McKinney made a motion to approve the City Street Finance Report; Seconded by Jones and all carried with ayes.

McKinney made a motion to approve SICOG Resolution 13072016; Peckham seconded and all carried with ayes. RESOLUTION ATTACHED TO MINUTES.

McKinney made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 7:15 pm; Peckham seconded and all carried out with ayes. Next City Council Meeting will be held Tuesday September 6th, 2016 at 7:00 pm. PLEASE NOTE DATE CHANGE OF SEPTEMBER MEETING IS BECAUSE MONDAY THE 5TH IS A HOLIDAY.
