The following agenda items were discussed:

1. Connect Data: Dean Lorenz referenced Fred Newman’s conversation at prior meeting and acknowledged the SSHS Faculty for successfully assisting students with holds. 90.7% of their holds were lifted by Faculty. Dean Lorenz informed all that this data was given by Chris Romano and Jeremy Tiegen which was incredibly helpful.

2. Transfer Student Seminar: A 2 credit course for Social Science of Success was denied. Development of course for success to be looked at with all to gather thoughts on. If interested in creating such a course, please see Dean Lorenz. Co-sharing with faculty to incorporate multiple facets in the Social Science realm was proposed.

3. Announcements:  Summer 17’ class schedule appears to be set. Dean Lorenz asked for all to review their courses to ensure all is good.  Fall 17’ schedule has over 107 allotted times. Dean Lorenz is looking to moving classes to steer away from Provost doing this. Dean is doing his best to make this fair.  Dean Lorenz mentioned use of P-Card to be used for conferencing fees. Nancy will take care of this for Faculty.  Faculty assembly is looking for new secretary to take minutes.  Carol Bowman spoke of ARC separating labs and lectures in TAS.  Fran Shapiro-Skrobe specifies that any new courses need to go WAC before ARC.  Suzanne Badawi encouraged all to vote/nominate someone for the recognition awards.  Ashwani Vasishth looking towards adding sustainability within all courses and would like feedback on interest of integrating this into our syllabus.  Dean Lorenz thanks all in advance for participating in Admissions events and the extra time spent to address students and parents.  Pathways conversations to be directed to Cahill Center.  Dean to send Faculty letter that went to all students regarding advisement. 4. New Business: None 5. Old Business: Peter Heinz discussed renovation of the Library to be of more digital nature. Nick Salter specified that research on paper vs. screen has been done and students seemed to prefer paper rather than digital for learning.

Next meeting: 3/29/17 @ 12:00 PM in ASB136.

There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 1:06 PM.
