E-Mail Dear Friends and Supporters: [email protected] This letter announces the Federation of Southern Cooperatives/Land Assistance Fund’s 31st Georgia Farmers Conference February 13-14, 2014 at the Hilton Garden Inn Board of Directors located at 101 South Front Street in Albany, GA.

President The conference will host over 200 farmers, ranchers, landowners and supporters from Shirley Blakley MISSISSIPPI across the South. Its objective is to provide current information on cooperatives, USDA programs, marketing, legal, risk management, conservation, and other agricultural issues Vice-President that are vital to farmers. We will also have updates and discussions on Pigford II and the Daniel Bustamante Women/Hispanic Lawsuits. TEXAS Registration and exhibitor setup will begin on Thursday February 13th from 3:00pm Treasurer Carrie Fulghum to 5:00pm. Workshops will begin at 3:30PM. A reception for farmers, program ALABAMA participants and staff will begin at 6:00pm and will feature guest speaker Mr. James E. Tillman, Sr., GA State Conservationist, USDA - Natural Resources Secretary Conservation Service. Satina James GEORGIA On Friday February 14th registration will open at 8:00am. The conference will begin Chaplain at 8:30am and will include workshops and a USDA Panel discussion on various farm Helen Fields programs. Invited guests include U. S. Congressman Sanford Bishop (D-GA) and Mr. SOUTH CAROLINA Don Koehler, Executive Director of the Georgia Peanut Commission. Ms. Krysta Harden, Deputy Secretary USDA, will be the keynote speaker.
