Dear Presidents, Directors, Managers, we would like to invite you to the 4rd Smolenice Open, an open contest in Taekwondo ITF for elementaries, juniors, seniors, colors and black belts, which will take place in Trnava on 25.10.2008. Competition is individual in matsogi, tul and special techniques.

DIVISIONS – CATEGORIES:  divisions – categories must comprise of 2 or more competitors, if there is only one competitor in a category – he/she will compete in lower or higher category,  black belt M/F, color belt M/F,  elementary – up to 13 years of age (year 1995 is admitted) and juniors younger (years: 1994, 1992, 1992),  juniors elder (years: 1991, 1990), seniors (to: 1989),  in order to be admitted to the contest, the person must have a valid medical check less than 1 year old.

TUL DIVISIONS SCHOLARS / JUNIORS / SENIORS /M/F:  categories elementary up to 8 kup, 7-5 kup, 4 -1 kup,  categories juniors up to 8 kup, 7 – 5 kup, 4 – 2 kup, 1 kup and higher,  categories seniors up to 8 kup, 7 – 5 kup, 4 – 2 kup, 1 kup and higher,  finals – one optional tul, one compulsory,  everyone with everyone competition system 2 – 6 competitors, 7 and more K.O. system. First round outs compete for 3rd place.

MATSOGI DIVISIONS – WEIGHT CATEGORIES M/F:  admitted are competitors having 6 kup and higher, juniors / seniors,  juniors F younger: -45kg, 45-49kg, 49-53kg, 53-57kg, over 57kg,  juniors M younger: -48kg, 48-54kg, 54-60kg, 60-66kg, over 66kg,  juniors M elder: -52kg, 52-58kg, 58-63kg, 63-70kg, over 70kg,  juniors F elder: -45kg, 45- 50kg, 50-55kg, 55-60kg, over 60kg,  seniors M: -54kg, 54-63kg, 63-71kg, 71-80kg, over 80kg,  seniors F: -52kg, 52-58kg, 58-63kg, 63-70kg, over 70kg,  time of bouts will be 1.5 min (everyone with everyone), finals 2x1.5 min.  everyone with everyone competition system 2 – 6 competitors, 7 and more K.O. system. First round outs compete for 3rd place.

ORGANISER RESERVES THE RIGHT TO CHANGE DIVISIONS ACCORDING TO PARTICIPATION.

AWARDS – winners on 1st ,2nd and 3rd place will receive medals and diplomas. The most successful club will win a cup.

PARTICIPATION FEE : 450,- Sk for each discipline

INSURANCE:  all competitors must have valid insurance

ARRIVAL:  arrival is the day before the contest. Meeting point – The AŠK Slavia Trnava Rybníkova 14, Trnava, from 20:00 to 22:00 h. During this time weigh - ins and fee payment will take place (clubs arriving at the day of the contest will have done the above duties by a predetermined time from 7:00 to 8:00)

! COACH:  Coaches must wear: sportswear, sportshoes and must accept referee‘s decisions

REFEREE:  We would like to ask you to ensure at least one referee per club.  Referees must wear official clothing according to ITF,  The organiser will provide boarding and accomodation for referees.

SCHEDULE:  The day before contest - arrival (weigh - in) from 20 00 to 2200  The day of contest: 7:00 – 8:00 – registration, weigh - in 8:00 – 8:30 - meeting of referees and coaches 8:30 –13:00 – 13:30-18:00 h – contest 18:00 – anticipated end of contest
