SERVICE UPDATE FROM NEW YORK BUS SALES, LLC *********************** Complaint: Engine belt squeal- More noticeable on units with A/C when it is turned on and clutch of compressor engages
Cause: Belt slip - Even though belt tensioner/idler appear to be correct and belt appears to be correct in length the unit continues to squeal especially under load-
Correction: When checking be sure to actually remove the belt and physically check each pulley, especially the idlers as they may loosen and even though when running appear to be correct are indeed loose causing the belt to slip and squeal
This Complaint/Correction was provided by Our OWN Tech/Larry Markowski - THANK YOU LARRY!!
