"In accordance with the provisions of the Open Public Meetings Act, the West Long Branch Board of Education has issued notice of this meeting to be publicized by having the date, time and location of the meeting posted at Betty McElmon Elementary, Frank Antonides School and the West Long Branch Public Library and mailed to the Asbury Park Press, which has been designated as the Board's official newspaper, and The Star Ledger. Notice was also filed with the Borough Clerk and sent to those persons requesting that such notice be mailed to them."

a. NCLB Application FY- 2011-12: Title 1 Teachers: i. BME- Mrs. Julie Carasia (math) ii. FAS- Mrs. Margaret Doty (math) b. Annual Required Title 1-Parent Compact Policy Review: i. Parent and Teachers of Title 1 (math) students met during Open Houses on September 21 and September 22, 2011 and ii. Parent Conferences on October 19 through October 21, 2011 to discuss the components of the Title 1 (math) program and student progress based on NJ Core Curriculum Standards.

ACTION ITEMS: PERSONNEL RESOLUTIONS 1-5 The West Long Branch Board of Education, by means of a Consent Resolution, adopt various resolutions of a routine and non-controversial nature at one time; and

Whereas, the below listed resolutions are hereby adopted by the said Board of Education in whole as if the same were individually acted upon.

1. Move to approve, upon recommendation of the Interim Superintendent, Jo Ann Podracky as the Interim Assistant Board Secretary on an as needed basis, at $50 per hour, commencing November 23, 2011 through April 1, 2012 (Mrs. Podracky is a retired, certified school business administrator).

2. Move to approve, upon recommendation of the Interim Superintendent, Caryn Anderson as an Interim Full Time employee, retroactive from November 1, 2011 (Board Direction October 27, 2011).

3. Move to approve, upon recommendation of the Interim Superintendent, the extension of the existing contract for the Interim Superintendent/Business Administrator/Board Secretary until September 1, 2012 (Employment ceases upon any New Superintendent starting work).

4. Move to approve, upon recommendation of the Interim Superintendent, the extension of unpaid medical leave of absence for Heather Weiner, commencing on November 16, 2011 through May 1, 2011.

5. Move to approve, upon the recommendation of the Interim Superintendent, the employment of Beth Nash, Language Arts Replacement Teacher for Heather Weiner, retroactive to November 16, 2011 through May 1, 2012, Step 1-2 BA, $45,000 pro-rated, (subject to adjustment following the conclusion of negotiations between the West Long Branch Board of Education and the West Long Branch Education Association and the approval/ratification of a collective negotiations agreement effective July 1, 2011). (Beth Nash is working more that five (5) months).
