Seek God’s Approval
When God gives us a “word” of knowledge “intelligence,” we only need to press in on His approval. God does not need the approval of man to promote His purpose. He need for us to trust Him explicitly. We often hinder God’s plans by seeking advice and approval of men. Is God not able to carry out His plans by virtue of speaking His plans into being? Yes he is more than able to do so. “And God said, Let there be…and it was so” (Read Genesis 1). “So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing which whereto I sent it” Isaiah 55:11. In other words, God’s word has a purposed target. We often try to interpret God’s intent thinking a word of knowledge is for everyone, but in light of wisdom, that word might only be meant for a specific person, group or nation. Often times, when we try to interpret God’s word we end up diverting it away from the intended target. Seek God’s approval. It really doesn’t matter what others think. After all, they are not the originators of the plan or know the purpose. “Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men” 1 Corinthian 1:25. We must learn to take God at His word. When in doubt about a thing God’s has revealed to you, seek God’s approval on that thing. Press into the heart of God. He will never lead you astray. How many times have our blessings been delayed because God told us a thing and we sought the advice of a friend on the matter? What should have taken a matter of hours, days or weeks to come to pass takes years. Look back and question the circumstances. See where divine intervention was in play and note where human intervention brought a halt to the entire matter. Now look ahead, see that God’s plan comes to pass as he said it would. Human intervention did not stop God’s divine plan, it only delayed it. Seek God’s approval, after all, only a foolish man goes to the builder for clarification, a wise man goes to the architect.
“If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.” James 1:5
